Join Us for the Annual Sportsman's Dinner

When the Shaver Lake Trophy Trout members looked for methods to raise money, they decided to hold a community dinner. They knew the ability to sustain trophy trout plantings in Shaver Lake was dependent upon the financial support received by this non-profit organization. The first dinner sold out almost immediately and was highly successful.

Thus the group’s main fundraising event has become an annual dinner that is traditionally held in August. For 2017, the 7th Annual Shaver Lake Trophy Trout Project’s Sportsmen’s Dinner is set for Saturday, August 12th, at the Shaver Lake Community Center.
A volunteer staff transforms the community center into lovely dining establishment. The tantalizing aroma from the barbecue floats through the late afternoon and early evening air.

The doors typically open at 5 p.m. as guests arrive to greet each other, browse the Silent Auction tables and check out the Raffle Prizes. Old friends gather and meet new attendees to this wonderful event. They can enjoy their favorite libation from the Open Bar and appetizers are also available. The tradition of serving a delicious dinner featuring barbecued steak, green salad and all the trimmings will continue again this year.
